IFSEC Special Newsletter
|
06 May 2010 |
Message from the Editor
Our IFSEC Special newsletter provides some insight into what the show will offer
next week at the NEC in Birmingham. This year, the organisers have arranged an
Intelligent Integration Zone enabling suppliers to demonstrate interoperability
between different security functions such as alarms, access control and surveillance
using the power of IP technology.
The Security Industry Awards ceremony will also take place during the event and you
can see the list of nominees in all the categories on our page here
Taking part in the show will be IQinVision who will be focusing on the IQeye eStore
bringing the IQeye BASIC LINE range of cameras to a wider audience by engaging
resellers and integrators outside their existing channel.
Also in this week’s newsletter, take a look at what NCP Engineering has to say about
the frustrations of Network Access Technology and how to overcome them with
single-click central administration functions.
I hope you enjoy this edition of the newsletter and if you have any comments or
feedback, I’d be delighted to hear from you at jon.newell@prosecurityzone.com

Preventing Data Security Breach Penalties With Policy Management Software
|
11 March 2010 |
Message from the Editor
April 6th will see the implementation of amendments to the Data Protection Act which has already been in existence now for 12 years. With up to half a million pound fines able to be levied by the Information Commissioner's Office for serious breaches, there is little time left for companies to get their data protection in order or face heavy penalties. A key aspect of this protection is establishing and managing a policy and NETconsent explains how this can be achieved with policy management software. To read more about this, see the IT Security section below or visit the NETconsent website.
I hope you enjoy this edition of the newsletter and if you have any comments or feedback, I'd be delighted to hear from you at jon.newell@prosecurityzone.com
