San Diego demonstration of Extio F1400 RGU

Matrox Graphics : 28 January, 2009  (New Product)
The Extrio Remote Graphics Unit from Matrox Graphics to be demonstrated during the first week of February in San Diego
Matrox Graphics will demonstrate the Matrox Extio F1400 remote graphics unit (RGU), the Matrox M9125 multi-display graphics card and the Matrox PPX Series of display wall controller boards at the DistribuTECH 2009 Conference & Exhibition.

Technological initiatives on display will include operator console-to-display wall collaboration and advanced multi-card configurations, such as the ability to display critical information from an energy or outage management system on up to four 30in dual-link digital panels at a total stretched desktop resolution of 5120x3200.

These demonstrations will be shown using AFC Industries electronically height adjustable, ergonomic consoles. The demonstrations are to take part on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm, Wednesday, February 4, 2009 from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm and Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm at the San Diego Convention Centre, San Diego, CA at Booth: #1909 (AFC Industries).

With Matrox Extio multi-display RGUs, the user interface of the computer—keyboard, mouse, audio peripherals and graphics hardware—can be separated from the rest of the PC by up to 820 ft (250m) of fibre-optic cable. Matrox Extio RGUs support up to four digital or analog monitors or two dual-link displays, feature passive (fanless) cooling and are compatible with the PCI, PCI-X or PCIe slots in the host system. Ideal for environments where data security, heat, noise, and space are prevalent issues, this innovative technology provides a new physical layout for high-reliability computing environments.

Matrox M-Series graphics cards can drive applications on up to four high resolution monitors in both independent and stretched desktop modes. Featuring a fanless design to eliminate noise and increase product reliability, 512 MB of memory, and availability in low-profile form factors to fit in a wide variety of systems, these cards feature the reliability and stability that Matrox products are renowned for and offer core benefits of Matrox products, including long life cycles, top-to-bottom manufacturing and support, and a unified display driver model for easy deployment in multiple systems.

Providing the ability to drive up to 64 monitors from a single Windows-based workstation, the Matrox PPX family of display wall controller boards is an ideal building block for display wall controllers. Based on the most scalable architecture in the industry, these products enable OEMs and A/V Integrators to customize installations based on customer-specific requirements. The Matrox PPX Series includes output and input (capture) board-level products.
