Visitor management for healthcare and small businesses

Data Management : 23 September, 2015  (New Product)
Cloud based data storage features on the eVisitorPass visitor management software from Data Management
Visitor management for healthcare and small businesses

For more than a year the “eVisitorPass” visitor management software program has provided an amazingly affordable solution for almost any size of business, school, agency, or healthcare facility.

The eVisitorPass visitor management system by Data Management makes it easy for organizations to register, badge, track and run reports on visitors of all kinds, including vendors, contractors, and family members.

This electronic addition to DMI’s Visitor Pass Solutions product line combines secure cloud-based data storage with a simple app that installs in minutes. eVisitorPass starts with affordable essentials, and then lets users build from there.

“The basic system includes software, installation, a printer, and a roll of 250 expiring visitor labels, all for only $490 for the first year — and $250 per year after that,” says Richard Reed, DMI’s Vice President of Development. “Users who desire more functionality can add a driver’s license reader, a camera, and a sign-out scanner to round out their system.”

But even the basic system provides plenty of functionality. One customer, a state agency in New England, has identified about 50 people as “unwelcome.” The agency’s security team has flagged these individuals in its eVisitorPass software. So now all 20 of its guards will be alerted if one of these persons tries to visit, with a detailed onscreen note as to the specific nature of the alert.

Still, visitors may be flagged for positive reasons, too. Another customer, a fuel pipeline company in the United States, is visited often by state and federal security and law enforcement agencies. These representatives are flagged in eVisitorPass so employees are sure to provide their full cooperation. Typically the government wants to know who has visited the pipeline company, which uses the software to run a report to easily provide the exact information requested.

From the basic to the expanded solution, the “build-your-own” approach is a departure from other visitor management systems, says Brian Gallagher, President of DMI. “Customers are frustrated with the high cost of VMS programs and having to pay for features they don’t use or even need. The eVisitorPass system lets them choose for themselves the exact functionality they want — nothing more, nothing less.”
