Virginia airport aims for integration with IP surveillance installation.

LenSec : 16 November, 2007  (Application Story)
Manassas Airport in Virginia installs IP surveillance network for scalability and conformance to state vision for fully integrated IP surveillance solutions.
LenSec announces their installation of a complete, turnkey IP Surveillance system for the Manassas Regional Airport.

Manassas Regional Airport, the largest general aviation airport in Virginia, sought LenSec's surveillance solution as a direct result of the City's successful installations with its other agencies by LenSec, including the police, department of utilities, and public schools. The airport project serves as the fourth LenSec system installation for the City of Manassas.

"At the City of Manassas, we have a unified vision to retain a comprehensive, city-wide surveillance solution which enables full collaboration among all of our entities," states Juan Rivera, Airport Director. "My intent is to proactively contribute to this effort. As a result, I called upon LenSec, who retains an excellent track record and reputation with our city, to create a solution for our airport operations that will fit nicely with the installations at our other agencies. By adding our airport operations into the mix, it will place us another step closer in accomplishing our vision for a complete, city-wide surveillance solution."

The new airport surveillance system integrated previously installed cameras strategically placed around the airport perimeter and in the terminal. The new system has been integrated with previously installed LenSec systems at other city organizations so that in the event of an incident, the city's 911 dispatch center can direct emergency responders such as fire fighters, police and paramedics more quickly and effectively.

"LenSec is delighted to continue our ongoing partnership with the City of Manassas to help them build upon their vision of maintaining a comprehensive surveillance system," states Keith Drummond, LenSec Chief Executive Officer. "We look forward to assisting the City of Manassas on any other future projects that may arise that will help make their community become safer and more secure for many years to come."
