Hawk IR International has announced its latest in ground-breaking infrared safety technology - the ExCAM AP Professional Intrinsically Safe ATEX Certified infrared camera has been nominated as finalist for Plant Engineering, Product of the Year 2007.

Based on a first-of-its-kind, patent-pending technology, the ExCAM AP Professional can detect potential failures within explosive atmospheres using realtime, fully radiometric infrared thermography techniques. Images are stored on-board for post inspection reporting, ideal for petrochemical facilities where the majority of equipment is located within the explosive atmosphere.
