Technology Executive Joins i365

I365 : 15 January, 2011  (Company News)
Storage specialist company invests in human resources by hiring an experienced back-up professional in the role of Technology Executive
i365 has named Terry Noonan as Vice President of Research and Development and Chief Technology Officer. Noonan will lead the company’s technology vision, architecture, and research and development, and will manage the company’s SaaS infrastructure. The appointment comes on the heels of i365’s growth in 2010, including the launch of several new product and channel initiatives such as EVault for Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager and the newly introduced EVault Cloud-Connected Service Provider Program.

“We are delighted to welcome Terry Noonan to the team,” said Terry Cunningham, president and general manager of i365. “His deep experience with data protection, archiving, and data management will help us as we continue to advance our EVault suite of Cloud and on-premise data protection, archiving and availability solutions, and our Cloud-connected storage strategy. Terry will be instrumental in bringing new EVault solutions to market.”

“As a seasoned IT executive, I’ve consistently been impressed by i365’s leadership and innovation in the Cloud storage market,” said Noonan. “It is a privilege to join this visionary storage solutions provider, and I look forward to working with the staff to drive continued development and innovation of EVault backup and recovery solutions.”

Noonan brings to i365 more than 20 years of experience in executive and senior technical positions in the software industry. Previously at Symantec Corporation, Noonan was CTO of the Security and Data Management Group, where he led a team that was responsible for the product strategy, technical direction, and business development activities of a $2 billion business unit. Prior to Symantec’s acquisition of VERITAS Software, Noonan was CTO of the Data Management Group at VERITAS, responsible for the strategic direction of the data protection and archiving product lines. After leaving Symantec, Noonan went to NetApp as VP and Chief Architect for the Data Protection and Retention group that was specifically focused on backup strategy. Most recently, Noonan was VP of Products at Shavlik Technologies, where he was responsible for research and development and product management.
