From 27th â€" 29th January 2009 the 5th IT'n'T - Trade Fair for Information Technology and Telecommunication, took place in Vienna. More than 355 exhibitors from over 17 countries presented the latest innovations in software & services, infrastructure & solutions as well as telecommunications & solutions. NETAVIS exhibited as co-exhibitor at the booth of its system integrator Conova Communications.
The new Observer version 3.1 was presented for the first time at an exhibition. With this version it is possible to run MegaPixel cameras with a minimal bandwidth of only 40kBit/s. Moreover the live streaming and archive access can be optimized through the new ABS Transcoder (Adaptively Balanced Stream). Transcoding is able to convert MJPEG MPEG-4 H.264 and MxPEG streams into ABS.1 stream. This enables excellent live streaming quality in all resolutions, even in mega pixel quality.
Visitors also had the opportunity to assure themselves live about the latest features of iCAT. iCAT is the Video Analytics toolbox of Observer that works with any camera. It provides powerful and easy-to-configure object detection and tracking mechanisms as well as a statistics module with integration to the event management system EMS. It works in difficult situations and also with various camera perspectives. Functions include: object and people tracking and counting, detection of removed and abandoned objects and much more. Thanks to its unique functionality it can be used for many contexts in retail, enterprise and public safety, transportation, and banking.
