South American Country Orders Vehicle Screening Technology
American Science and Engineering has received an order from a Latin American country for three Z Backscatter Van (ZBV) X-ray screening systems — the industry’s top-selling non-intrusive cargo and vehicle X-ray screening system. This is AS&E’s first order for ZBV systems from this Latin American country.

A breakthrough in X-ray detection technology, AS&E’s Z Backscatter Van is the number one selling non-intrusive mobile inspection system on the market. The ZBV system is a low-cost, highly mobile screening system built into a commercially available delivery van. The ZBV system allows for immediate deployment in response to security threats, and its high throughput capability facilitates rapid inspections.
