Ping Identity has been named an inaugural member of Google’s “Recommended for Google Apps for Work” programme. Through the programme, Google and Ping Identity will provide joint enterprise customers a seamless Google Apps for Work experience by integrating applications with the Google login, providing secure access and single sign-on to enterprise applications running anywhere. Ping Identity was selected by Google based on reliability, extensive support for current Identity Standards and tight integration with Google Apps for Work.
A growing number of companies are looking to Google Apps for Work to be their central sign-on service to all applications in the enterprise, whether on premises or in the cloud. Now, with Ping Identity providing secure access and single sign-on based on their Google login, today's highly mobile workforces can access all the applications they need to do their jobs from anywhere, on any device, all with a familiar and trusted user experience. For example, Netflix has turned to Google and Ping Identity for a trusted single sign-on experience for more than 400 cloud applications, many of which are custom built. In a recent post on the Netflix TechBlog, Justin Slaten, Manager, Enterprise Technology & Client Systems, details the use case for Ping’s Identity Defined Security platform. Ping serves as the glue that enables the Netflix workforce to have seamless access to all the apps and services they need while giving the IT team the necessary control to secure application access.
With the introduction of this programme, Google will extend its existing relationship with Ping Identity. Google recognises Ping Identity as a trusted partner for enabling enterprises that use Google login as a central cloud directory to allow secure application access for all of their employees. Together the companies empower developers to build and deploy new apps based on standards, so employees can use them securely, quickly and easily in this single sign-on environment.
“Expanding our integration with Google makes a lot of sense, as we share a commitment to empowering customers to create the experiences that work best for them,” said Andre Durand, CEO, Ping Identity. “With Google, we’re helping companies transform their businesses by providing trusted users with seamless, secure access to all their applications, no matter where they reside.”
“Customers want simple and secure identity and access management solutions built for the cloud. We are partnering with Ping to meet the needs of our larger customers with complex IT environments,” said Rahul Sood, Managing Director, Google Apps for Work. “Ping integrates with Google Cloud Directory to offer customers the best of Google’s scale and security and Ping’s advanced controls and rich functionality.”
