Secure mobile authentication for the Irish Market.

SecurEnvoy : 23 May, 2007  (Company News)
Renaissance enters agreement with SecurEnvoy to distribute two factor mobile authentication products for mobile phones in the Irish market.
SecurEnvoy has signed a distribution agreement with Renaissance as its distributor in the Irish market. With sales growth of mobile authentication in Western Europe growing at its all time fastest, SecurEnvoy has appointed Renaissance to promote its mobile authentication solution, SecurAccess, to a country already well versed in mobile communications.

"We required a distributor with experience of the authentication market and an existing reseller channel that can take mobile authentication to this market" explained Stephen Watts, sales director at SecurEnvoy. "With extensive experience of our market and an existing portfolio of complimentary products, we are confident that Renaissance is the right partner to take our solutions into the Irish market".

Michael Conway, Director of Renaissance commented, "Having previously supplied two-factor tokenless solutions in Ireland, we are now delighted to be moving ahead with the dominant player in this market. Without doubt, SecurAccess is the superior product in this competitive mobile authentication market; its rivals do not match the sophisticated seamless integration and ease of use that SecurAccess has to offer. We see a great potential for this strong innovative solution and we are very excited about the opportunity to represent SecurEnvoy in the Irish market."

SecurAccess enables trusted people to log on to corporate networks securely; removing password and token management problems, and social engineering attacks. It is an elegant, affordable solution to a serious business problem, and is simple to use and easy to manage. With existing deployment tools, up to one thousand users can be rolled-out each hour and managed through existing technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory and other common directories servers such as eDirectory. This eliminates the need to recreate or synchronise users in a separate database, hence bringing down the cost of authentication, and making the service available to a wide audience. Administration is easy, via SecurEnvoy's dynamic web pages which can be accessed remotely and securely.

Philip Underwood, Head of Pre sales EMEA at SecurEnvoy commented "Renaissance recognised the benefits of a product that directly integrated into Microsoft's Active Directory. The seamless solution provided Renaissance with an excellent platform which to promote SMS two-factor authentication technology to its resellers and end users. Having the ability to provide an easy-to-use solution is key to wining the technical battle and gaining a very high rate of end user acceptance".
