UK Supermarket chain, Somerfield to upgrade existing Ethernet network to take advantage of the security features of the ES-3148 managed switch for protecting EPOS transactions. |
|
ZyXEL Communications has signed a deal with grocery retailer Somerfield.
The deal will see ZyXEL, through its partner Wincor Nixdorf, install a switch upgrade for over 700 Somerfield stores. This equates to a new layer-3 ES-3148 48-port Ethernet managed switch in every Somerfield EPOS enabled Store in the UK.
Steve Lloyd, VAR Sales Manager at ZyXEL comments on the deal, "The need for reliable and secure networking solutions in retail is particularly key to the sector's business for EPOS systems, stock control and managing information. This win demonstrates ZyXEL's continuing momentum in the UK's network access industry and our ability to deliver reliable and proven technologies that get businesses connected."
