Risk reduction seminar for Irish banking industry.
Datanomic
: 31 October, 2007 (New Product) |
Datanomic offers short seminar on data assurance and its effect on risk management to bankers and providers of financial services in Ireland. |
CGI, PwC and data quality specialists, Datanomic have joined together for a free seminar for the Irish financial services community, enabling delegates to gain better understanding into strategies for reducing risk through data assurance. The short seminar, which will be held from 5:00-6:30pm on 20 November 2007 at the Institute of Bankers, Conference and Exhibition Centre in Dublin, will include opening remarks from Pat Farrell, Chief Executive of the Irish Banking Federation, as well as a presentation by Daragh O Brien, VP Recruitment & Publicity for the IAIDQ and Convenor of the IQ Network.
Data assurance is a critical element in managing risk and regulatory compliance. The seminar will not only provide delegates with insight into the efficiency and effectiveness of organisational control frameworks, but will also outline a roadmap for delivery, including how to unearth the elusive and often hidden return on investment.
Organisations often turn a blind eye to data quality and the impact poor quality has on their many processes and programs. Companies are facing multiple pressures from existing and emerging legislation, such as Basel II, MiFID and the 3rd EU Money Laundering Directive. The seminar will discuss vigilant data protection controls vs. financial risk, improving data quality, strategies to reduce business risk and protect brand reputation, as well as improving operational efficiencies.
