Residential visitor management and access control

Stanley Security Solutions : 12 May, 2008  (New Product)
Tenant, staff and visitor access to residential complexes made easier with EasiNet Residential.
Residential visitor management and access control
In response to the growing problem of crime and the need to keep social housing residents and property more secure, Stanley Security Products will use IFSEC to highlight the latest release of its PAC EasiNet Residential visitor management and electronic access control solution.

Designed specifically for the residential housing application, EasiNet Residential is ideal for housing managers and staff who have the constant worry about controlling tenant access to low or high rise blocks of flats, or specific areas. Several new software enhancements improve the system's security even further.

One new feature is the ability to purchase an access group licence and then define specific access groups within a housing development. An access group may be a block of flats, a number of floors only or even common public spaces such as a laundry room or bin area.

A tenant key holder can now have all relevant access groups programmed on to one single key, ensuring much quicker and more convenient security administration. Staff and contractors requiring access to service, maintain or deliver to residential blocks can also now be more effectively managed. EasiNet Residential is also able to support simple time profiles on access groups as well as daily time profiles.

Another improved feature is 'event archiving', providing the system administrator the ability to easily back up events on a separate drive or storage device. The event archive now retains all records, a vital aid in quickly retrieving support evidence in the event, for example, of a burglary, assault or vandalism.

Based on Microsoft NET technology and fully integrated with door entry panels and video handsets, EasiNet Residential can support up to 1000 entry points and a database capacity of up to 75,000 key holders, including a mix of staff and tenant keys.

As crime continues to be a major social issue and the duty of care for housing associations and local authorities to protect residents comes under even greater scrutiny, the enhanced EasiNet Residential system continues to play a key role in delivering a more secure housing environment and enhanced quality of life for residents.
