Remote monitoring agreement reached with surveillance supplier

Corps Security : 30 August, 2013  (Company News)
UK surveillance equipment distributor DVS has entered into an agreement with Corps Security on remote monitoring
Remote monitoring agreement reached with surveillance supplier

Corps Security has announced details of an exclusive new agreement with Cardiff based surveillance equipment distributor, DVS, which will encourage more installers and end users to experience the numerous benefits offered by remote security. To celebrate this alliance, any companies referred from DVS that sign a three-year contract with the Corps Monitoring Centre (CMC) will receive a free digital video recorder (DVR).

Formed in 2003, DVS has quickly established itself as one of Europe’s most successful multi-brand distributors of electronic surveillance products. Scott Douglas, the company’s sales director, commented, ‘DVS has thrived by embracing the many technological advances in the industry and we are now seen as one of the industry’s most proficient distributors of
IP CCTV products. We always welcome the opportunity to join forces with other organisations that share a similar outlook and ethos, so when we were approached by Corps Security with a view to looking at ways to drive sales for our respective businesses, it was a easy decision to make.’

Each company will recommend the other’s services whenever and wherever possible. DVS has an abundance of installation partners that utilise remote monitoring services for their end user customers, so recommending the Glasgow based CMC will help raise awareness of this state-of-the-art facility. In addition, as the UK’s leading specialist supplier of manned guarding, Corps Security is also able to provide these services. Similarly, Corps Security will advise its own installation and end user customers to benefit from the wide range of products and service excellence available from DVS.

To celebrate this announcement, every installation company that signs a new three-year contract with the CMC will receive a four, eight or 16 channel DVR. The DVRs are fully compatible with the CMC’s monitoring software and the exact model that the installer gets will depend on the number of cameras to be monitored. The promotion will be heavily publicised by the two companies and is expected to attract great interest from those responsible for configuring small to medium sized installations of up to 16 cameras.

Corps Security’s CMC business development director, Eric Roberts, concluded, ‘This latest agreement with DVS is part of our ongoing commitment to working with best-in-class organisations from all areas of the security industry, and it marks the first occasion that we have teamed up with a distributor. It comes at a time when a growing number of installers and end users are recognising the need for remote monitoring in the event that their in-house system fails to operate or cannot be accessed, and it means that more installers and their customers will get to experience the advantages of the CMC.’
