Omnilink Systems : 27 March, 2008  (Company News)
Human and object location and tracking system from Omnilink Systems picks up innovation award at the CTIA Emerging Technologies ceremony.
Omnilink Systems has announced that its FocalPoint solution was selected as a finalist in the Third Annual CTIA Emerging Technologies (E-Tech) Awards. The E-Tech Awards program gives industry recognition and acknowledges the best wireless products and services in the areas of Mobile CE (consumer electronics); Consumer Mobile Applications; Enterprise Solutions; Network Infrastructure; Mobile Widgets; and 4G. CTIA Wireless 2008 takes place April 1-3 at the Las Vegas Convention Centre.

The E-Tech Award Ceremony will take place on the Fashion in Motion stage in the Mobile Entertainment eXpo pavilion of the Las Vegas Convention Centre on Wednesday, April 2 at 3:00 PM. A panel of industry analysts, media and technology experts reviewed nearly three hundred submissions from established and emerging companies and judged product entries based on innovation, creativity and vision.

Omnilink's FocalPoint is the industry-leading LBS platform to monitor the location of people and valuable assets of interest. FocalPoint delivers an on-demand Software as a Service approach to easily provision and manage location-based devices. With FocalPoint, customers can define geospatial rules, know real-time or historical location points, and receive exception-based notifications. Using the power of FocalPoint's precision engine Omnilink customers enjoy breakthrough, proprietary algorithms that give the most accurate location results, minimizing the common GPS problem where a point tends to 'drift' from its actual location due to environmental or other factors. All of these capabilities combine to give organizations unprecedented ways to locate people and valuable assets across multiple networks and devices.
