Protegrity has released Defiance Security Software Suite 4.6, the latest version of its award-winning data protection solution.
This release provides Teradata customers with large scale deployments across industries including retail, financial services, travel, and tourism with tremendous advances in cost effective data protection. Teradata customers will benefit greatly from new and enhanced policy management functionality designed to speed deployment as well as ease management across large, multi-node environments. New file-based audit log collection functionality will extend customer control over security event auditing and reporting and complement existing streaming log file collection.
Since 2005, Teradata, the leader in enterprise data warehousing, and Protegrity have been global partners in the delivery of enterprise level data protection and management solutions that deliver database security to Teradata customers. In May of 2008, Protegrity announced unmatched data warehouse encryption performance with over 9 million encryptions per second on the Teradata platform. Teradata is a reseller of Protegrity's Defiance Suite.
In addition to enhancements on the Teradata platform in this release, z/OS customers will enjoy expanded data protection options with new partial-file encryption capability allowing selective encryption of contiguous parts of files in addition to existing whole file encryption options.

New and enhanced functionality in the Defiance Security Suite includes:
