Leader in global growth taken on by McAfee to head the company's operations in the EMEA region |

McAfee has appointed David Quantrell as president of its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Quantrell will report to Michael DeCesare, executive vice president of worldwide sales for McAfee. Quantrell joins McAfee from HP EMEA where he served as president of HP Software.
"David has solid track record of growth with global companies that makes him an excellent addition to our team," said DeCesare. "His reputation for building and managing strong partnerships with companies and the channel will prove invaluable as we continue to drive sales in this important part of the world."
Quantrell is a proven leader, having worked for such companies as Mercury Interactive, NetIQ, Nortel Networks and Clarify. At HP, Quantrell was responsible for doubling the software business to more than $1 billion and managing a sales team of more than 1,000. He developed strong channel partnerships and managed the integration of various companies, including Mercury Interactive.
Prior to HP, David served as EMEA president for Mercury Interactive, where he renewed the management team and drove a change program that substantially increased revenues and margins. He previously served as vice president and general manager, EMEA for NETIQ, a systems and security management company.
"I'm looking forward to helping McAfee continue to establish itself as the clear market leader for security in EMEA," said Quantrell. "With dedication and hard work, I firmly believe that we will make 2009 a great year."
Quantrell will lead McAfee's business in the EMEA region and work with former EMEA president Mike Dalton, to transition into the role by the end of Q1.
