Intelligent video network platform based on XML focuses on ease of adoption and use for video analytics |
|
ObjectVideo has announced that several leading application companies have adopted the OV Ready protocol - an XML-based intelligent video network protocol that standardises ObjectVideo analytic rule, alert and configuration communications.
Working with the just launched OV Ready 1.0 release, companies such as Genetec, Instek Digital, Lenel, Metrotech, Nuuo, Orsus, Proximex, Salient Systems, VidSys and Vialogy are establishing the global network of intelligent, OV Ready partners.
Based on XML and open web services standards, OV Ready enables seamless interoperability between any ObjectVideo OnBoard-enabled device and any OV Ready-compliant system. Empowered by OV Ready, video management systems, physical security information management (PSIM) systems and other third party systems wanting to make use of ObjectVideo analytics are able to deliver universal compatibility with any ObjectVideo-enabled device to create rules and receive alerts. The result is a network of intelligent, ObjectVideo-enabled partners, which allows system integrators and end customers to pick and choose components that best meet business objectives, while seamlessly delivering powerful ObjectVideo capabilities.
'ObjectVideo is focused on open and interoperable mechanisms to make analytics less expensive and least disruptive to the end user,' explained Bob Cutting, ObjectVideo director of product management. 'Through our growing OEM solution base of 21 manufacturing partners with more than 100 intelligent ObjectVideo OnBoard-enabled product SKUs in the market today and our extensive OV Ready partner network, ObjectVideo is making analytics available in a way the user wants to use it, through the systems they use every day.'
