Outdoor Alarm System Technology On Show At IFSEC

Optex Europe : 30 April, 2012  (New Product)
Optex Europe is attending the IFSEC show with its range of new products for outdoor perimeter protection and detection
Outdoor Alarm System Technology On Show At IFSEC
Optex will be showcasing its IP and wireless ready security intrusion detection as well as its high-end  perimeter protection capabilities, including four new products that complement its strategy of providing a multi-tiered approach to site protection.

Optex will preview the Smart Line Series of Quad technology, battery powered Active Beams – a very easy to install and highly cost-effective perimeter solution designed to operate with any leading wireless system. Part of the Optex BoundaryGard family, the new Smart Line Series dramatically reduces the need for cabled infrastructure and is ideal in remote or difficult locations, delivering individual 100m areas of reliable detection.

Optex will also be showcasing its new Fibre SenSys FD322 – an affordable, high performance fibre optic fence detector system for challenging outdoor environments. Ideally suited to large industrial, retail and commercial premises where reliability is key, the advanced fibre-optic sensing is unaffected by harsh external conditions including UV radiation, moisture, salt, or even lightning strikes.

Completing the launches will be the new PIE-1 Alarm IP Encoder that effectively enables all Optex detection devices – including the latest REDWALL, REDSCAN and Fiber SenSys detection technologies – to integrate with IP network video surveillance systems. The PIE-1 encoder provides the dual functions of Power over Ethernet (PoE) power delivery to remote Optex devices and conversion of alarm signals to an IP protocol for delivery to video management systems (VMS) or network video recorders (NVR).

Also on the stand will be a new indoor detector targeted at installers with smaller budgets, but without sacrificing the renowned reliability for detection and minimising false alarms.

To further reduce the need for engineer callbacks to a site the OPTEX SAVER grade 2 detector addresses many common issues and offers improved external seals, reducing the incidence of insect egress, digital based filtering and temperature compensation logic. Of course the basic requirement of intruder detection has not been forgotten and the SAVER delivers high catch performance through a dense 156 edge, 78-zone detection pattern which is supported by Optex’s patented Quad technology.
