Major national US win for ADT Security Services

ADT Security Service (USA) : 26 August, 2009  (Application Story)
ADT has won a contract for supporting Government, Education and Non-Profit Organisations in the USA with security equipment and services
ADT Security Services has announced a national alliance cooperative contract award from the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) that will allow the more than 28,000 Public Entity members to receive competitive bid procurement access to ADT's industry-leading lines of security equipment, systems and services.

ADT was awarded NJPA's contract for Facility Security Equipment, Systems and Services with Related Equipment, Supplies and Accessories following a competitive solicitation process that included eight other electronic security providers. A NJPA bid evaluation committee awarded the contract to ADT based on its product quality, customer service and overall market leadership.

Mike Hajek, NJPA's director of business development and marketing, said ADT was selected for this national contract award for several reasons.

"ADT is a perfect fit for this designation because it offers unmatched solutions and an extensive line of facility security products and services as well as dedicated sales, service and monitoring teams located throughout the United States."

NJPA, a non-profit government agency, establishes and provides nationally leveraged and competitively solicited cooperative contracts for municipal government, educational and non-profit agencies across many industries. Each NJPA-vendor contract is available to all qualified customers in all 50 states and Canada.

John Gaydos, vice president of the ADT Government Systems Group, said NJPA is a powerful national alliance that allows its member organizations to cost-effectively purchase through NJPA contracts and satisfy the competitive bidding requirements of government entities.

"This competitive bid designation takes the burden off individual organizations so they are not tasked with duplication of staff resources to advertise, obtain and review bids. It eliminates the lengthy procurement process for individual entities. By establishing cooperative purchasing contracts through a national alliance like this, NJPA has already conducted due diligence that helps assure members are getting the best value available," said Gaydos.

"ADT offers added value for NJPA members with its decades of extensive security experience integrating the latest technologies for business, education, and government organizations, a national footprint of more than 220 US offices, and the benefit of having earned SAFETY Act certification and designation for ADT Electronic Security Services from the Department of Homeland Security," he said.

The NJPA, based in Staples, Minn., is governed by an eight-member board comprised of governing officials, including school board members, city council members and county commissioners. There is no cost for members to join or participate in NJPA. The organization serves all public and private education systems, government agencies and non-profit groups.

ADT serves state and local government agencies in all 50 states, as well as more than 15,000 K-12 grade schools and over 1,350 college and university campuses.
