Matrox Graphics and Meyertech bring IP CCTV command and control through integration of VMS with video decoding accelerator |
|
Matrox Graphics has announced a partnership with Meyertech, an independent British manufacturer of CCTV Command & Control Systems.
Meyertech and Matrox are working together to provide an advanced IP Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) based surveillance solution to the security market. This solution will combine the Fusion-2 Core Security Management Software with the Matrox VDA-1164 Video Decoding Accelerator for surveillance systems and operator stations in large-scale IP security networks.
The Matrox VDA-1164 brings hardware-accelerated IP Video decoding capabilities to CCTV based security systems running Fusion-2 Core. By offloading the Central Processing Unit (CPU) of the video decoding burden, VDA-1164 enables optimal system responsiveness through its ability to simultaneously decode and display up to 16 D1 video streams in native resolution at full frame rate, on up to four high-definition displays.
'Matrox is excited about Meyertech's support for the VDA-1164 with its next generation Security Management Software, Fusion-2 Core,' says Alain Thiffault, Business Development Manager, Matrox Graphics. 'With the VDA-1164 decoding 100% of all IP Video streams, this removes the workstation bottleneck so users can benefit from all of Fusion-2 Core's integrated applications without ever having to worry about performance issues.'
'We are seeing an increased demand for complex security management consoles involving multiple IP streams,' says Stuart Meyers, Managing Director, Meyertech. 'By enabling the Fusion 2 software to run with the Matrox VDA-1164, Meyertech's integrators are now able to offer a more comprehensive solution to security customers, featuring enhanced performance due to the unique IP-decoding abilities of the VDA.'
Matrox Graphics is demonstrating the Matrox VDA-1164 and Fusion-2 Core, along with other advanced multi-display solutions at IFSEC 2009 from May 11-14th at NEC Birmingham, United Kingdom at Stand F130, Hall 4.
