ShotSpotter has announced that Richard Meyerhoff has joined its management team as Vice President of International Business Development and Sales. Meyerhoff, who brings over 20 years of executive and international sales experience in hi-tech, security systems, and defense industries, will spearhead ShotSpotter's international business development strategy and global sales initiatives.
"As ShotSpotter continues to experience exceptional domestic sales growth, we have seen strong parallel interest from the international market," said James Beldock, president and chief executive officer of ShotSpotter. "In Richard Meyerhoff we found an individual whose proven leadership skills are credited with successfully developing, building, and managing international sales and business opportunities. Richard's stellar track record has created business success everywhere he's been, and we are pleased to have someone of his caliber contributing to ShotSpotter's continued success as we expand globally."
"The life-saving nature of ShotSpotter's flagship product, the ShotSpotter Gunshot Location System (GLS), clearly demonstrates that it is unrivaled within its industry," said Meyerhoff. "This invaluable wide-area acoustic surveillance technology provides public safety and law enforcement officials across the US with gunfire and explosion data and analytics that are proven and relied upon to build effective crime prevention strategies and tactics. I am excited to be joining ShotSpotter and look forward to expanding the reach of this mission-essential technology internationally."
Meyerhoff comes to ShotSpotter from Implant Sciences where he acted as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Service. Prior to this Meyerhoff served as Vice President of Global Sales of the Security and Detection Systems division of L-3 Communications, helping the division to become a leading supplier of security screening systems. From 1995 to 2003, he held the position of Managing Director of various divisions for Thermo Noran, a subsidiary of Thermo Fisher Scientific. He began his career in the security industry at EG&G Astrophysics and holds a Masters degree in Business and Administration from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Universidad Catolica Argentina.
