Integrated management platform for Sophos products

Sophos : 25 April, 2016  (New Product)
Sophos is making the management of its product range easier with a new, three-part cloud-based management platform for partners and administrators
Integrated management platform for Sophos products

Sophos has launched the next evolution of its cloud-based management platform with the release of Sophos Central. Sophos Central is an integrated management platform that simplifies the administration of multiple Sophos products and enables more efficient business management for Sophos partners. This unified platform for security management is an element of Sophos’ synchronised security strategy to enable multiple security products to work together seamlessly with simpler management and better security.

The integrated security platform of Sophos Central has three core components: Sophos Central – Admin, Sophos Central – Partner and Sophos Central – Self Service.

Sophos Central – Partner, formerly known as the ‘Partner Dashboard,’ allows partners to centrally and remotely manage Sophos licensing, identify and track cross-sell or up-sell opportunities and benefit from easy-to-use reporting

Sophos Central – Admin, launching later this year, will enable end-users to manage their quarantined email, provision personal and mobile devices (especially for BYOD use cases) as well as securely configure wireless access points and hotspots

Sophos Central – Self Service, launching later this year, will enable end-users within an organisation to manage quarantined email, self-service device provisioning (BYOD), as well the secure configuration of wireless access points and hotspots

“We see too many customers crushed under an avalanche of security tools that are too complex to manage effectively. Sophos Central simplifies this for partners and customers by bringing their Sophos products into one management platform. The synchronised real-time information sharing enables a faster response to incidents and improved security for organisations of all sizes,” commented Bill Lucchini, general manager and senior vice president at Sophos. “In addition to the ease of security management, Sophos Central makes it easy for our partners to manage their customers. They can proactively manage and track their business, identify and act upon revenue opportunities, manage customer security configurations and see all security issues in one dashboard. This can all be done remotely which reduces their overall cost of business and allows rapid growth without demanding more and more expensive resources.”
