Integrated ID cards in mobile phones.
|
LEGIC Identisystems Ltd
: 01 November, 2007 (New Product) |
|
Single card can provide solution for access and near field communications in mobile phones to combine many functions in one appliance. |
|
LEGIC card-in-card solutions combine smart card micro-controllers with building access and related multi-applications onto one single smart card chip. Only one single card is necessary (eg integrated into a NFC mobile telephone) to combine multiple applications onto one smart card. This allows standard contactless LEGIC uses (such as physical access) to be combined with other contact type third party uses such as logical access to PCs, government ID credentials, credit cards or national ticketing applications.
With this, the end user may use the NFC based telephone (Near Field Communication) or the dual interface smart card as a multi functional identification badge to open doors, pay at cash points, buy a bus ticket or pay entrance to the gym. The possibilities are endless and the end user's systems are securely future proof thanks to open smart card architectures.
In order to develop new use cases and pilot projects, LEGIC cooperates with leading smart card and mobile phone suppliers, major Swiss network operators
such as Swisscom and other reputable partners in the field of security and access control solutions.
