Integrated biometric access control.

GB Locking Systems : 04 June, 2007  (New Product)
Internal and external biometric fingerprint readers available for access control requirements with ability to operate as stand alone units or over a networked access control system.
New Scan-in Biometric fingerprint system from GB Locking Systems is made to last and inspires a contemporary yet sturdy look, designed specifically to fit seamlessly within any building.

The Scan-in system is available with either a Scan1 reader head for internal use or Scan2 reader head for external use along with a separate control unit.

The units are standalone or PC based which can be networked.

Main Features include:

* 970 users, all of which can be authorised on a day-today basis(e.g. Mon - Fri or Thursdays only etc).
* 30 users can be used as temporary visitor users (providing 1 day timed access only).
* Toggles an alarm system.
* Solid machined aluminium reader head (of architectural grade) with separate control unit.
* Robust external reader head available.
* Easy enrolment using just the reader head.
* 9 different time zones which can be programmed to overlap each other.
* Optional TCP/IP connection via pc link, can provide access over the internet.
* individual user templates can be barred without the person present.

Scan-in comes complete wit a separate slim-line control unit encased in a metal box, complete with LCD backlit screen and keypad to ensure easy programming. It can be mounted on the safe side of the door. The reader has a green & red LED with buzzer to indicate status.

Users can be programmed in and deleted via the reader head, via the control unit or by use of a computer link.
The last 250 entries are recorded in an event log and also the last 250 enrolments are stored in a log as standard.

Via a TCP/IP interface, Scan-in can be linked to a PC over the internet. This allows master users to perform a variety of tasks without physically being there in person (eg open door, enrol and delete finger templates).
