National Security Inspectorate wins bid to provide inspection services for Telecare industry members |
|
Following a robust tendering process, Insight Certification Ltd, the National Security Inspectorate's parent company, has been awarded the contract to supply Telecare Services Association (TSA), the representative body for the telecare industry, with inspection services for its members.
Members are encouraged to comply with the TSA's Code of Practice with regard to the provision of telecare services within the UK. TSA has a remit to set standards for encouraging professionalism, best practice and promoting a wider awareness of the telecare industry's role in meeting the real social needs of service users.
Insight will administer the scheme and provide the inspection services to ensure TSA members meet the required standards. These are based around three Codes of Practice relevant to the management and operation of Telecare Response Centres, installation of equipment in the homes of service users and the management and delivery of mobile response services.
Insight's Chief Executive Andrew White CB said: "We welcome this opportunity to work with TSA to manage and provide their inspection service. There are parallels in the way technology is advancing in all of our related sectors and together we can promote and realise the potential these developments have to offer. The future is just around the corner and we look forward to what can be achieved for the benefit of both telecare service providers and users."
