To assist the hard of hearing, Urmet Artico and Atlantico door entry systems are now being manufactured with built-in induction loop amplifiers.
The video handsets as well the door entrance panels have been equipped with amplifiers to assist both residents and visitors who wear a hearing aid equipped with a telecoil.
Commenting on the upgrade of two of Urmet's most popular door entry system ranges, Mark Hagger, Sales and Marketing Director said: "We are very pleased to introduce this communication aid which will particularly benefit elderly people living in sheltered home and warden controlled environments. It will ensure that owners of public buildings can comply with a requirement of the Disability Discrimination Act whilst making it much easier for people with hearing difficulties to communicate with their visitors."
Artico is Urmet's popular entry level handset featuring a 4in CRT monitor and offering an economic solution where straight forward video entry solutions are required whilst the highly successful Atlantico handset is, available with a 4in mono or colour screen and with brightness and contrast adjustment for optimum picture quality.
