Latitude software for video management and networked IP cameras to form the basis of surveillance system to improve security and protection in the Indian transport system. |

DVTel has been awarded a prestigious IP Video surveillance project with one of the largest transportation authorities in India.
This new project implements the Latitude Network Video Management System (NVMS) V5 and utilizes DVTel IP cameras. DVTel's IP Video management system will be used to improve both physical security and operations management.
Responding to increasing demand in India, DVTel has continued to grow operations there by adding personnel, including new technical staff, a Business Development Manager, and a Regional Sales Manager. President and CEO, Eli Gorovici: "We see our presence in India as strategically one of the most important in the world right now. The Indian market is growing explosively and given their commitment to technological excellence, this is exactly where DVTel wants to be."
DVTel's latest release of Latitude NVMS V5, a component of the unified intelligent Security Operations Centre (iSOC), is a fully scalable, open-standard, enterprise-level multimedia management system. This advanced network-based system's architecture enables simultaneous monitoring of video and audio, live and recorded, from multiple stations. The software can be configured to store and view from one to thousands of cameras and monitor connections across an unlimited number of servers. All the necessary networking, computer workstations, servers, and storage hardware are available off-the-shelf. Like all DVTel solutions, Latitude V5 integrates fully with existing legacy CCTV equipment and all third party hardware and software solutions.
"Latitude was re-architected using the latest Microsoft .Net technologies. This latest version unifies all of DVTel's IP-based security solutions," said Gorovici. "We are pleased to offer the market a single, unified solution for Latitude NVMS, Longitude IP Access Control, video analytics, SceneTracker video stitching, and our line of IP cameras." Additional Latitude NVMS 5.1 highlights include:.
* Transcoding services from MPEG-4 to any other compression methodologies such as MJPEG or MPEG-2 for Internet/low-bandwidth video and other applications. This capability seamlessly provides remote access to the system and preserves complete functionality over remote connections.
* A Global Client to view multiple, unrelated systems on one monitoring station.
* Up to 100 simultaneous monitoring cameras per client workstation using four monitors with up to 25 tiles in multiple layouts.
