G4S to handle cash for Northern Rail

UK train operator engages G4S Cash Solutions for cash-in-transit and other related services |

G4S Cash Solutions has been awarded a major contract Northern Rail, the UK’s largest train operator, which runs services across the north of England.
The contract, which will commence in February 2012, will see G4S provide a range of services including cash in transit, cash processing, bulk cash delivery and cash collection from ticket vending and car-park machines.
To help Northern Rail speed up their reporting process, G4S will conduct cash processing from one site in Manchester which will help them to manage their cash flow even more effectively.
