Skills for security assistance available to access funding for training towards level 2 Security Practitioner. |

Skills for Security has announced that following extensive discussions with the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) a new funding model to support the new NOCN Security Practitioner Award at Level 2 has been agreed under the LSC Train to Gain initiative.
Noel Sargent, Skills and Apprenticeship Manager at Skills for Security said; "This is undoubtedly one of the most significant qualification funding initiatives for some time and on the basis that the qualification itself was developed for the sector in partnership with sector practitioners it will equip the Guarding sector with the skilled and qualified people it will need to meet the challenges of the future. "
The available funding will cover the costs of candidate registration and certification with the awarding body, the management and administration of the programme by a training provider and the activities of the skills coach and independent assessor. Skills for Security is now working with the LSC Regional Broker Network to assist companies to access the funding.
