SC Magazine has selected agentless cybersecurity pioneer, ForeScout Technologies, as an SC Awards 2016 Europe finalist for outstanding threat solution products in information security. The placement in the awards final is for ForeScout's CounterACT product in the category of Best NAC (Network Access Control) Solution.
The announcement of the winners in all categories will take place on 7th June 2016 at the highly anticipated SC Magazine Awards Europe ceremony taking place at the magazine's new home at Riverside of the Thames, Old Billingsgate in Central London. Those wishing to attend have until April 14th to secure tickets.
Each of the winners in the threat solution categories in the awards are chosen by an expert panel of judges selected by the SC Magazine editorial team in the UK. Recognised as honouring not only the products and services that protect corporations from the ever changing threat landscape, but also front-line cybersecurity professionals, the SC Magazine Awards Europe event provides the most prominent recognition to the IT security industry.
Commenting on the underlying purpose of the awards, SC Magazine's Tony Morbin said, "Data breaches that compromise people’s data and tarnish company reputations are causing mounting headlines across the globe. This is why it is more important than ever to recognise Europe’s vast army of defenders that stand out as exemplars of excellence, working largely unseen to protect our data.”
"Companies are constantly under attack, fuelled by the proliferation of the number and different types of devices connecting to the network. Traditional security tools lack visibility of these devices,” said Myles Bray, Vice President of EMEA Sales at ForeScout Technologies, “but ForeScout’s innovative agentless approach makes the invisible visible – including Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Coupled with flexible, automated response capabilities and extensive third party integrations, ForeScout is uniquely positioned to help organisations protect and secure their network with optimum efficacy.”
Commenting on ForeScout's selection in the finals, Tony Morbin concluded, "Cyberattacks seeking to infiltrate and expose sensitive information are a fact of enterprise IT life, ForeScout has demonstrated the ability to execute innovative and comprehensive IT security measures to protect companies from the onslaught of malicious attacks.”
