The Channel Company's CRN has recognised ForeScout Technologies by placing the company on its inaugural 2016 Security 100 list, which honours the coolest security suppliers in five technology areas, namely: Endpoint Security, Identity & Access Management & Data Protection, Network Security, SIEM & Threat Detection and Web & Application Security.
Those that made it into the list did so by demonstrating a mixture of creativity and innovation in their product development as well as a strong commitment to deliver their products through a vibrant channel programme.
The threat of a security breach within the Internet of Things (IoT) is growing by the day since expectations are that there will be over 8 billion devices connected to the IoT by the end of the decade and IDC has forecasted that such a breach will be experienced by two-thirds of all enterprises within the next two years. Being a pioneer in agentless cybersecurity, ForeScout can provide the security products that can see, control and secure devices the instant it is on the network without the need for agent software to be loaded onto the device, a vital aspect of IoT protection.
Commenting on the IoT vulnerability, ForeScout's VP of Channels, Tom Evans said, “As enterprises continue to make use of the promise of the Internet of Things (IoT), their networks’ attack surfaces become larger and therefore increasingly vulnerable."
On being included in the CRN list, he continued: "This recognition from The Channel Company is testament to the growing severity of the IoT protection issue. ForeScout continues to lead the charge to provide enterprises with instant visibility into their networks and as we move forward, we will look to our partners to help us deliver our vision of securing the Internet of Things.”
“Security solutions are more essential than ever to the health and sustainability of every business, large or small,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. “The frequency and complexity of IT security threats have vastly increased in recent years, requiring rapid innovation and an incisive, forward-thinking defence strategy. The importance of having expertly secured networks, software, hardware, applications and databases cannot be overstated. Our Security 100 list honours those tech suppliers at the forefront of this field for their contributions to the advancement of the channel and to the IT market at large.”
The Security 100 list will be featured in the April 2016 issue of CRN and online here
