ForeScout Technologies has bee included in the first-ever Forbes 2016 Cloud 100 list, which represents the top-100 private cloud companies in the world. The list is available on the Forbes website and will feature in the October 4th edition of the Forbes magazine.
Speaking about the cloud as being the next enterprise evolution and both the opportunities and risks that represents, ForeScout's President and CEO, Michael DeCesare commented, "As customers transition to the cloud, they need to ensure the same level of visibility and control as they have in their own on-premises networks. Being named within the Forbes Cloud-100 list is a testament to the investment ForeScout has made in building a robust platform that evolves to fit the ever-changing needs of our customers where they relate to cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) security.”
According to Alex Konrad, the Forbes editor of the Cloud 100 list, cloud companies are revolutionising how businesses reach their customers from digitising painful old processes to allowing them more time to focus on what they really care about, what makes their products unique.
“Inclusion in the Forbes 2016 Cloud 100 list recognises a company for its financial growth and excellence as recognised by customers and peers,” he said.
Byron Deeter, a cloud investor and partner at Bessemer Venture Partners believes those companies on the list are the ones to watch. “The Forbes Cloud 100 companies represent the very best private companies in cloud computing. We will see big IPOs and category killers emerge from this list as cloud computing continues to propel the trillion-dollar software industry,” he remarked.
