Fog Cannon Protection For Jewellery Shops

Protect Global UK : 06 December, 2010  (New Product)
Protect UK explains how fogging systems can help protect against the growing and increasingly dangerous crime of jewellery shop raids
Fog Cannon Protection For Jewellery Shops
A typical jewellers is very tempting not only to customers but also to criminals, it would only take a matter of minutes for them to smash and grab thousands of pounds worth of jewellery!

Due to the increased value of gold there has been a serious explosion of robberies taking place at jewellery shops up and down the country. Reports across the media news streams shout about robberies that are happening more frequently and in broad daylight!

"I am shocked by the reports coming back from our installers" says Matthew Robinson, manager for Protect UK, specialists in security fog protection. "It seems every week I am told about another jewellery shop robbery!"
One of Protect UK installers in the Midlands told of a recent incident at one of their customer's jewellery shop involving three masked men wielding a machete and a hammer kicking the shop door down. This happened at in broad daylight as the jeweller was setting up for the day's trading.
Once inside the robbers grabbed the jeweller's elderly father and threatened him. The jeweller had the courage to run into the back and press the panic button that instantly set off a fog cannon.

Within seconds the shop was filled with thick "smoke" forcing the shocked robbers out the door empty handed. This could so easily have ended badly!

A serious incident recently reported was a woman in Penn Yorkshire being kidnapped, held at gun point and forced to open her jewellery shop. The robbers got away with over £400,000 worth of jewellery! A fortnight before this robbery the same lady had thought the quote to install fog cannons was too expensive at a fraction of the cost of what was stolen!

In Rotherham a jeweller was shot in the face with a ball bearing gun when he refused to comply with armed robbers.

In Coventry two armed robberies carried out by masked gunmen have taken place within a fortnight of each other!

Scotland has also had its fair share of jewellery robberies when a month ago in sleepy Haddington a robbery was foiled when a passer-by intervened.

The message is loud and clear 'get protected' before it's too late.

"Until the price of gold returns to its normal level jewellers are going to continue to be a serious target. It's not only the financial loss that is at risk here but human life as robbers are taking more risks to get what they want" warns Matt Robinson, manager of Protect UK and continues:

"We have a range of products that can be linked in with existing burglar alarms or that can stand alone as an independent panic button.

Our fog cannon systems range from products that can be used in big or small spaces. The 'Protect 600' is ideal for smaller spaces like a jewellery shop, private home, garage or yacht. The 'Protect 2200' is very effective in large spaces such as lofty warehouses, car showrooms or large office spaces.

"The main objective or our fog cannon systems is to push the robber out of the building quickly before they have time to cause damage or steal anything. All our products effectively expel a thick fog within seconds that completely obscures the items needing protection."
