Following the introduction of the Vista eclipse2 internal camera, Vista is pleased to announce the release of the eclipse2X external camera. eclipse2X is a true day/night PoE camera that allows users to view and analyse an entire 360° scene using a single camera. The fisheye image can be streamed or de-warped within the camera, reducing network bandwidth and processing on NVR solutions. This allows live images to be viewed easily via a standard web browser, without the need for specific software.

With increased concerns surrounding privacy, the simple and accurate positioning of privacy zones is essential. eclipse2X provides the user with  10 dynamic privacy zones which can be easily drawn onto the video image with a simple ‘point and click’ mouse action. Carried out via the camera browser, the zones are automatically applied to all IP streams. This ensures that all private information remains secure regardless of the IP stream being viewed or recorded.

eclipse2X provides the user with 14 independent video streams, each user selectable as H.264 or MPEG plus MJPEG, allowing individual points of interest to be viewed and manipulated as required. Thanks to its full 360° field of view, IP66 rating and IK10 vandal resistance, the camera can be mounted directly onto ceilings, walls or even inverted onto a table or floor without affecting image orientation or ePTZ functionality.

“eclipse2X is ideal for applications where an uninterrupted view of the entire scene is required,” explains Mark Pritchard, director of product marketing for Vista. “A single camera can be used to provide total scene coverage with retrospective PTZ (ePTZ) control within recorded images, ensuring no details are missed before or after an event.”
