European E-Identity event schedule for 2014

EEMA - a European independent, non-profit e-Identity (eID) & Cyber Security association announces its seminar and conference schedule for 2014. The membership-based organisation is running three major events throughout the year, as well as a series of interest group meetings, tackling the hot topics surrounding trust in the digital world, identity management, eSignatures, eSeals and cyber security.
 
Executive Director of EEMA, Roger Dean, states: “Cybercrime and National Information Security (NIS) will feature prominently in EEMA’s 2014 event schedule. We will focus attention on the practicalities of implementing the cyber security strategy and NIS directive and what it means for improving the future of Europe’s cyber security.”
 
14th January 2014 - EEMA Interest Group Meeting - Organised by EEMA and Deloitte Enterprise Risk Services this one-day event, hosted in Brussels, will unlock the potential of eSignatures and eSeals, addressing business processes, application, policy, regulation and compliance, and enterprise architecture. 18th March 2014 - EEMA Interest Group Meeting – This one-day event, hosted in Brussels  by Deloitte Enterprise Risk Services will provide a briefing on the latest essential intelligence on the cyber security landscape and an update on the activities and experiences of user organisations, as well as insight in to upcoming EU activities and plans.
 
7th – 8th April 2014 - Trust in the Digital World: Cyber Security – the Challenges and Solutions – Last year approximately 300 representatives from industry, institutes and policy-makers attended this event. This year in Vienna, Austria, the event will investigate the business value of trust, focusing on issues surrounding Cloud, identity, cyber security, building up an ecosystem, regulation and legal aspects, as well as smart cities. This event is supported by the Vienna Chamber of Commerce and DG Connect.
 
The Call for Papers will be made in early 2014.
 
10th - 11th June 2014 - Digital Enterprise Europe ‘Managing Identity for the Future’ – EEMA’s 28th Annual Conference and the leading e-Identity forum will take place in London. The two-day conference will address the key issues surrounding e-identity as a core enabler of today's personal, business and government processes. Major themes for 2014 include a focus on global cyber security, federated identity, interoperability, attribute management, mobile eID, regulations, privacy and legal issues and is supported by Microsoft.

The Call for Papers in now open and closes on 31st January 2014.

14th – 15th October 2014 - Information Security Solutions Europe – ISSE will once again be hosted Brussels, Belgium, and will bring together more than 300 IT security professionals, analysts, academics and technology vendors from across Europe, to network and participate in over 50 seminars and workshops, focusing on enterprise security, mobile devices, cloud computing, identity and access management, the economics of security, cybercrime, privacy and trust and is in partnership with TeleTrusT.
