Dyno-Secure franchise takes on British Gas burglar alarm contract.

Dyno-Secure : 15 November, 2007  (Application Story)
Frachises from Dyno-Secure include full access to complete burglar alarm systems and maintenance expertise from large national alarm system provider.
For Melis Efstathiou, who originally trained as an electrician and spent several years working for BT as well as in the food industry, taking on a Dyno-Secure franchise has helped him realise his ambition to be his own boss. He has set himself exacting goals for the development of this new enterprise.

Trading under the name of Mel Corp Services, Melis embarked on his new enterprise in July 2007, taking responsibility for a large existing British Gas domestic burglar alarm maintenance contract in the London area. The early months have gone really well and he has big plans to expand the scope of his business and to take on more engineers as turnover grows.

Melis comments: "I went to college to become an electrician before moving into the family food business, then I trained as an engineer with BT. They promoted me to become a field manager in the Midlands before I moved to Essex to build up a group there. While I found the work interesting I never felt I was really being rewarded for all the effort it required and so I began thinking about starting a franchise. Dyno is one of the biggest and most trusted names in the market, so I looked into the Dyno-Secure brand."

Mel Corp Services covers the whole of central London as well as parts of the south west, north-west and east of the capital.

Dyno-Secure is able to offer customers a selection of different alarm packages combining movement sensors, contacts for exterior doors or windows activating external sounders. Clients can also have alerts routed to their mobile phone or to a central monitoring point.

Melis sums up by saying: "It's all going well. The phone is ringing with plenty of customers wanting alarms fitted in the area and we are now winning work through client recommendation. It's reassuring to know our quality workmanship is helping to generate business."
