American Science and Engineering has announced the appointment of Mike Tropeano as Vice President, Customer Development and Support, to lead the Company's newly created organization and join the executive management team. The new customer-facing organization will include Global Sales, Field Service, and Customer Program Management functions to better address the needs of AS&E's global customer base and further support sales growth strategies.
"This new alignment of AS&E's key customer-facing organization will be a critical driver to heighten customer focus and further strengthen customer support," said Chuck Dougherty, President and CEO of AS&E. "Mike will be instrumental in leading the organization to ensure we have a cohesive approach in our end-to-end dealings with our customers to ensure satisfaction, program success, and outstanding support services."
Mr Tropeano has held key management positions since joining AS&E in 1998; most recently, he served as Vice President, Program Management, with responsibility for the execution of all customer contracts and internal product development projects. Prior to that, he served in several different capacities in product management including the position of Vice President, Z Backscatter Systems, where his team successfully grew the ZBV product line into the number one selling cargo and vehicle screening system on the market.
