Deployment ease for cloud security

Imperva : 25 July, 2016  (New Product)
Imperva SecureSphere deployment kit provides easy access to security products for the Microsoft Azure Security centre
Deployment ease for cloud security

Imperva, committed to protecting business-critical data and applications in the cloud and on-premises, has announced the general availability of the Imperva SecureSphere Deployment Kit for the new Microsoft Azure Security Center. This expands Imperva support for the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, which already includes Imperva SecureSphere Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Database Activity Monitoring Agents. With the SecureSphere Deployment Kit for Azure Security Center, it’s even easier for customers to bring enterprise-grade application security to the cloud and ensure their overall security posture.

Microsoft Azure Security Center is designed to help Azure customers prevent, detect and respond to threats with increased visibility and control over the security of all their Azure resources. For enterprises that deploy mission-critical applications in the cloud, Azure Security Center and the SecureSphere Deployment Kit help automate the deployment of the market-leading SecureSphere Web Application Firewall to protect applications from cyber-attacks. As companies move their applications and data to the cloud, securing those valuable assets from web attacks, data theft and failed audits becomes a heightened organizational priority. Failure to deploy, or improper deployment of, proper security solutions could counteract the cost-savings benefit of the cloud migration—replaced instead with expensive breach investigations, downtime and lawsuits.

The SecureSphere Deployment Kit is an update to the SecureSphere WAF for Azure product that streamlines provisioning and monitoring of multiple WAFs to help secure a large application environment hosted on Azure. It makes it easy to deploy enterprise-grade SecureSphere solutions from Imperva to rapidly monitor and secure applications on Azure. The new solution:

* Automates deployment of Imperva security solutions on Azure
* Provides centralized visibility into security alerts and makes it easy to respond to incidents
* Centrally monitors the health of Imperva security components along with the application elements on Azure

“As enterprise customers decide to migrate critical workloads to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, they want the same level of security that they already trust from Imperva to protect their critical applications on-premises,” said Ayelet Steinitz, vice president of Business Development at Imperva. "The Deployment Kit will increase the customer adoption rate for SecureSphere on Microsoft Azure by making it easy for them to deploy proof-of-concept environments and rapidly see the value of Imperva application security.”

The SecureSphere Deployment Kit is available now for free to customers that have already purchased the Imperva SecureSphere WAF for Azure.

“The SecureSphere Deployment Kit for Microsoft Azure Security Center makes it easier for enterprise customers to secure the on-premises applications that they move into Microsoft Azure,” said Bob Kelly, corporate vice president, Cloud + Enterprise Business Development, Microsoft. “Enterprises will benefit from the same visibility and control in the cloud that they trust in their data centers to protect critical applications and data.”
