The American department of defence conference on mass intrusion investigations to be staged by Guidance Software. |

Guidance Software will lead a seminar on how to manage the complexities of large-scale intrusion investigations at the US Department of Defence Cyber Crime Conference 2008. Guidance Software's seminar will take place on Thursday, January 17, 2008 in the Majestic B room at the Renaissance Grand Hotel in St Louis, Missouri.
Entitled "Large Scale Incident Response Best Practices and Case Study Analysis," the seminar will cover a range of topics such as malware analysis, tips for assembling an effective team during an investigation and identifying and containing affected machines. It will be led by Jim Butterworth, Guidance Software's Director of Incident Response and Federal Services, who has more than 14 years of hands-on experience in computer network security and has dedicated 20 years of distinguished and highly decorated service to the US Navy.
Guidance Software is an educational sponsor at the Department of Defence Cyber Crime Conference 2008 and will be exhibiting at Booth 304.
The DoD Cyber Crime Conference brings together law enforcement, counterintelligence and information assurance specialists for education and training focused on ways to protect government agencies from cyber crime. The conference will be held January 14-18.
