Dallmeier focuses on ONVIF and High Definition at IFSEC

Dallmeier Electronic : 19 March, 2010  (New Product)
The Domera dome camera series can be viewed at Dallmeier's stand at IFSEC this year where company representatives will be available to discuss the company's position on third party integration, high definition and adoption of the ONVIF standard for open video architecture
Dallmeier focuses on ONVIF and High Definition at IFSEC
The ONVIF standard, third party integration and, of course, High Definition: These are the highlights Dallmeier is going to showcase on its stand G10 in hall 5 at this year's IFSEC, which takes place from May 10th to 13th in Birmingham, UK.

Dallmeier relies on standardised interfaces. For example all Dallmeier network cameras, including the high-definition cameras, support the ONVIF standard. Therefore, they can be jointly operated in one system together with devices from various other manufacturers as long as the devices are also ONVIF compliant. Furthermore, owing to their open interfaces, the Dallmeier products can be easily integrated into building management systems. The integration of third-party systems such as burglar alarm or fire protection systems, as well as access control systems is also easily possible. Likewise highly specific interfaces according to customer requirements can be realised.

These days, through the numerous integration possibilities, a video surveillance system is no longer a 'stand-alone' system but becomes a veritable video information system. 'Business Intelligence" is the key phrase in this context. Gone are the days when it was just about investigating fraud cases or prevent vandalism. Video security is also used to monitor and optimise entire operational procedures. Through integrations the large amount of data that is generated in a building is meaningfully combined. The system is therefore able to automatically identify abnormalities and to alert the security personnel to potential irregularities. The operator is not only provided with the relevant information but also simultaneously receives the corresponding image material. Previously "blind" systems are now able to "see". Thereby huge synergy effects can be achieved, which eventually save both time and money.

Regardless whether it is a standard interface or a customised integration, Dallmeier creates individual solutions for any area of application.

IFSEC 2010 gives you the opportunity to convince yourself of the outstanding image quality of the Dallmeier high-definition PTZ cameras of the Domera Dome camera series. The Domera cameras use the latest DSP technology (Digital Signal Processing) and therefore provide pin sharp images even under extreme lighting conditions.

Owing to high-quality mechanics (panning up to 420°/second) the Domera cameras can be controlled extremely fast and positioned extremely precisely.

Moreover, the BackBox & BackPlate interface system of the PTZ series Domera Dome camera offers huge advantages and a high flexibility regarding planning, installation, maintenance and upgrades. This means that initially during the planning, only the camera locations need to be determined. Zoom factors do not have to be decided upon until after the installation of the BackBox (in-ceiling) or the BackPlate (surface). If required, changes can even be made after the initial setup tests without any problem through an exchange of the dome mechanics, which only takes a few seconds.
