AccessData has announced the release of AccessData (AD) eDiscovery 3.0, which is now the most comprehensive in-house eDiscovery solution on the market. The product is being showcased today at IQPC's 8th eDiscovery. The automated, in-house eDiscovery solution is the only solution to address all data equally, enabling organizations to identify, preserve and process data from desktops, servers, popular structured data repositories, databases and email. New to the eDiscovery product is integrated litigation hold capabilities, which enable AccessData customers to address an eDiscovery matter from the onset of litigation all the way to producing load files, native files or forensic archive files for review.

Organizations traditionally rely on several products and vendors to respond to litigation matters, an approach that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions, per case. However, with AD eDiscovery 3.0, organizations can address the entire eDiscovery lifecycle with a single solution, saving a great deal of money on outsourcing, hosting and attorney review fees. Fortune 500 companies are quickly adopting this next-generation solution, but not just for its automated collection and processing capabilities. More and more organizations are utilizing the product's advanced search and analysis functionality to perform early case assessment, in order to more effectively determine exposure and mitigate the risks associated with electronic discovery. "AD eDiscovery 3.0 is an impressive victory for this company. I'm proud to say that AccessData is succeeding in enabling organizations to address a variety of burdensome and expensive tasks with a single solution," said Brian Karney, COO of AccessData.

AccessData eDiscovery 3.0 boasts a long list of new enhancements, including the following:

Automated Litigation and Regulatory Hold Alerting and Tracking:

* Ability to add/remove custodians from an existing hold
* Real-time status of hold notifications
* Single sign-on portal for custodians and IT to confirm holds and view hold status
* Interview custodians and data owners

Next-generation First-Pass Review and Early Case Assessment: Web-based Silverlight review platform delivers custodian-based, cutting-edge analytics and collaborative review of electronically stored information.

Early Case Assessment: Perform pre-collection audits to see what the results will be before you collect. Or perform more advanced review after preserved data has been processed, utilizing sophisticated search methodologies and data modeling.

Email Discussion Threads: Related messages are linked together in chronological threads, which display the entire discussion, including all replies, carbon copies and forwards.

Sophisticated Searching:

* Relevancy ranking, based on automatic term weighting
* Fuzzy searching with a slider to dial the sensitivity up or down
* Stemming, related words, phonic, wildcard, proximity and concept
* Combine search types to make your search as complex as you want
* Search hit highlighting: in files, emails and attachments
* Search Summary and detailed Search History reporting

Quickly and easily create, apply, and filter on tags

Dynamic Locality with Smart Restart: For example, when a custodian logs off in New York, the collection stops, and when the laptop comes back online in London, the collection will automatically restart, picking up where it left off with no user intervention. The agent operations are automatically re-routed to an optimal collection point, and any data added or altered since the last attempt will be collected as well.

Express Export: Enable automated collection, processing, culling and export with no user involvement, and AD eDiscovery will provide in-depth inclusion/exclusion reporting.

Reuse Collections: Previously defined and executed collections can be reused to address ongoing and similar matters involving the same custodians without re-collection.
