Call points extended for all popular control panels.

KAC Alarms : 08 February, 2008  (New Product)
KAC develop additional models to the MCP call point range for plug and play compatibility with control panels.
KAC's market-leading family of modular conventional manual call points, the MCP range, has been further extended with the addition of six additional standard variants that provide intrinsic compatibility with all popular variants of control panel on the market. All versions use the patented 'plug and play' concept, in which a special terminal block is initially fitted with a simple continuity link, enabling the wiring of the fire alarm system to be tested for open, short circuit and earth fault without the manual call point unit itself in place. Upon final commissioning, the continuity link is removed and the terminal block is then plugged directly into the back of the MCP, so no re-termination is required and no time is wasted. The different configurations are selectable during commissioning by connecting the special terminal block to the required terminations in the back of the MCP.

The resistor and clean contact version, MCP1, is available with either 470 or 680 Ohm resistors on one pair and a normally open set of contacts on the other - versions compatible with Apollo and Hochiki Savwire systems are also available. The MCP3 provides a pair of normally open and normally closed contacts and the MCP4 is configured with double pole changeover contacts.

The MCP features soft curved styling, is fully backwards compatible with previous generations, offers a significant reduction in installation time and is fully compliant with the latest EN54-11 and BS5839 Part 1:2002 standards.
