Cross Match Technologies has announced that James Ziglar, President and Chief Executive Officer, has informed the Board of Directors of his plans to retire in August 2008.

"While we regret that Jim is leaving Cross Match, we certainly understand his desire to pursue other goals in his life. The Board thanks Jim for his hard work, dedication and leadership in building Cross Match into a global biometric powerhouse. The strength of the team he built has been instrumental in developing the Cross Match brand as a leader in biometric solutions, resulting in industry leading growth rates. Our products are now recognized throughout the world as being on the technological leading edge of identity management solutions," remarked Donald Nickelson, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cross Match.

Effective upon his retirement, Mr Ziglar has accepted an appointment as a Senior Fellow at the Migration Policy Institute (MPI).
