Biometric time and attendance on show at IFSEC.

TDSi : 19 March, 2008  (New Product)
Smartcard based door controller and biometric time and attendance system combined with access control to feature on the TDSi stand at IFSEC 2008.
Access control specialist, TDSi, will be showcasing a range of new products at this year's IFSEC exhibition.

At the heart of the stand will be SOLOgarde, the company's new stand alone door controller. The system has been developed to provide clients and installers with a high quality, cost effective access control solution for use in a wide range of applications. Fast and easy both to install and program, SOLOgarde utilises MIFARE smartcard technology, allowing users to use just a single card for multiple applications.

Through the use of a simple, hand-held programmer, SOLOgarde completely eliminates the need for shadow cards to be kept and used, allowing not only the easy and clear management of all user cards, but also enabling more advanced functions to be easily employed - such as controller settings and diagnostic features.

IFSEC visitors will also have the opportunity to see TDSi's new TIMEgarde system. Utilising the company's proven biometric technology, TIMEgarde is an effective time and attendance system, which provides fast and accurate management information.

A web-based system, TIMEgarde allows any approved user (with a suitable web browser - IE 7 or higher) to log in and carry out a range of actions according to their specific access rights. The system allows users to be allocated to one of four levels - employees, managers, HR staff and administrators - each with increasing levels of rights. The system may be configured to account for a number of key parameters, identifying, for example, individuals' core working hours, acceptable start and end time windows and flexi-time working; absences are recorded on the system and flagged to managers for authorisation.

Developed to be both easy to manage and to use, TIMEgarde features a range of standard reports, with the option of exporting data to a CSV format for further analysis, if required. The system also features a simple, built-in enrolment tool for biometric data capture and distribution.

Finally, TDSi will be previewing ACCESSwatch, a technically advanced access control sensor, specifically designed to monitor and protect access hatches within reservoirs and water treatment sites from malicious attack. The unit has been developed to meet the requirements of various organisations, including the Association of Chief Police Officers. SEAP 3 approved, ACCESSwatch provides constant monitoring and protection for remote hatches and entrances and may be used either in stand alone mode, or networked via a range of alternative communication means.

TDSi will also be displaying the latest enhancements to its biometric product range, as well as demonstrating the company's wide range of readers, controllers and software solutions.
