ArcSight distribution contract for the African continent.

Enterprise compliance management enters the African and Middle Eastern market through partnership agreement with ArcSight.
ArcSight has announced its first Middle East and North Africa distribution partnership, as it continues to expand its channel relationships across the globe. ComGuard will distribute ArcSight Network Configuration Manager (NCM), Threat Response Management (TRM), and Logger products across its network of security and network resellers in the region. In turn, this will give ArcSight greater access to these markets, territories and customers as the extended channel strategy, launched in March 2007, pays dividends.

"ArcSight offers leading solutions in the enterprise security and compliance market," said Ajay Singh Chauhan, CEO at Spectrum FZ. "ArcSight is already successful in North America and Europe, and it's an honour to become the company's first distribution partner in this region."

Jonathan Cooper, Director, Partners and Channel EMEA, ArcSight, said: "We have been making great strides since we ramped up the channel operation in March and our goal is to work with organisations that reflect and understand the ArcSight proposition. ComGuard is an established, forward-thinking distributor with great experience in the region, and has an extensive reseller network in North Africa and the Middle East. "They have a complementary networking and security product portfolio and have already built up successful vendor best-in-class partnerships. ComGuard possesses excellent sales and marketing capabilities and extensive technical knowledge relating to the ArcSight product portfolio and has the ability to compliment the ArcSight product portfolio with the potential to add considerable value to our mutual customers."

ComGuard will follow a Value-Added Distributor model, and the partnership will cover co-marketing and the selling of ArcSight appliance solutions to the ComGuard reseller base. ComGuard will also develop technical skills to support the sale and deployment of ArcSight products to customers.
