Continental's expandable intelligent Turbo Superterm-8 supports all access control functions for 1â€"8 doors. Our controller operates as a standalone unit should server-communications interrupt and is programmed with CA3000. Turbo Superterm-8 does not require continuous server communications as it automatically stores system transactions in its internal memory. Field expandable memory allows for a larger transaction buffer and greater cardholder populations. Flash EPROM firmware easily upgrades when system enhancements are required and on-board multi-stage lightning/transient protection provides maximum reliability in harsh environments.
The powerful controller accepts industry standard Wiegand output devices and supports Proximity, Biometric, Magnetic Stripe, Barcode, Wiegand, Barium Ferrite, Keypad and Smart Reader technologies. What's more, it can store multiple card formats in its internal memory and support multiple bit formats that allow existing card populations and readers to remain in place. Up to 63 Microterm, SuperTwo or Turbo Superterm intelligent controllers can be intermixed on each communication port and multiple communication ports can connect to our server for system expansion supporting over 32,000 doors. Controller communication choices include hardwire, LAN/WAN, dial-up, fibre optics, RS232, RS422 and RS485 formats for optimal system configuration.
Turbo Superterm-8 includes a lithium battery for up to one year of data protection and each controller accepts up to 3 input/output expansion boards that mount to the inside of the hinged enclosure cover.
