UK Security Industry Regulation Maintains Support As ACS Reaches 5 Year Anniversary

With the Approved Contractor Scheme for UK security operatives reaching five years of operation, industry regulation in the country continues to maintain the support of end users

After half a decade of operation, the UK's Security Industry Authority's Approved Contractor Scheme has resulted in as much as 70% of security operators in the country working under the scheme as the industry faces regulation turmoil and some division between industry bodies. However, one UK industry body, the International Professional Security Association or better known as IPSA, has come out in support of continuing a framework for future industry regulation with a survey conducted by the organisation gaining almost 99% approval from end users for a continued regulatory regime.
