Large Scale Intruder Detection Projects

17 February, 2011
Homeland security projects in East Asia and Latin America as well as 250km perimeter fencing in the Middle East feature in large projects won by two security companies

Future Fibre Technologies and Magal S3 are celebrating large wins for perimeter security projects. Australian fibre optic perimeter detection specialist FFT will install the company's Secure Fence system in harsh climatic conditions in the Middle East desert region to detect perimeter breaches and attempts to tamper with the perimeter fence. More details of this installation can be read on the Future Fibre Technology story page.

Israeli security company Magal S3 is also installing a fibre optic based detection system mounted on a fence to protect nuclear installations in East Asia. The system is part of a wider project involving microwave detectors and taut wire barriers which exploit the company's expertise in commissioning multi-technology security facilities. Read more about this and the Latin American project on the Magal S3 story page.
