Xacta IA Manager integration with McAfee ePO Console

Telos : 22 April, 2009  (New Product)
Telos brings further benefit to its customers who use McAfee ePolicy Orchestra after the company joins the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance
Telos has joined the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance (SIA) program. As part of its participation in the McAfee SIA program, Telos will integrate its Xacta IA Manager with the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) console, enabling customers to efficiently deploy and manage Xacta HostInfo agents using the McAfee ePO software architecture in support of security configuration compliance, vulnerability management and system security authorizations.

Telos' Xacta IA Manager is a continuous Risk Management platform with a family of products that leverage government and industry standards to automate IT governance and compliance. In addition to the Xacta HostInfo deployment benefit discussed above, Telos plans to bring its heritage, expertise, and unique solutions for IT security authorization processes, such as the Defense Department Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-37 into the McAfee management framework.

"Telos looks forward to integrating our Xacta IA Manager Risk Management framework with the ePolicy Orchestrator console to further automate and streamline enterprise security and compliance," said Ron Dorman, vice president of Information Assurance at Telos. "Our mutual customers will benefit from this integration and we look forward to bringing it to market in the near future."

The ePO console is the first platform that lets enterprises and governments centrally manage security and compliance products from multiple vendors, offering unprecedented cost savings and return on investment. With more than 35,000 customers and managing close to 60 million PCs and servers, this unique platform is helping McAfee SIA partners to innovate, extend their reach, and create complementary functionality.

"A key goal behind the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance program is to accelerate the development of interoperable security products and simplify the integration of those products with complex customer environments," said Joe Gottlieb, vice president of corporate strategy and technology alliances, McAfee. "We're thrilled to see Telos leverage McAfee's investment in its security Risk Management platform and extend this value to our joint customers."
